Follow the Blog on an iPad

Did you know that the free news app called Pulse allows you to follow this blog along with all of your other favorite news feeds.  Just click on the add button and search for RetiredOCFRD.blogspot.

The Beginning

The first purchase we made as OCFRD included two E-One Aerials, two Tanker-Pumpers, 10 pumpers, two rural pumpers and the original five Battalion wagons.

Trying something new

A meeting was held this morning between Smokey I and Smokey II to discuss the popularity of the new dedicated Facebook presence, as well as other ways to keep the retired members from OCFRD informed, entertained, and most importantly, in touch with each other.  The website we have been using is a bit of a hassle, and we have found that it isn't being used by the members enough to warrant the upkeep.

So, when something needs to be detailed and expanded, let's do it here.  If you have landed here and want to go to the Facebook page, click here:  http://www.facebook.com/groups/OCFRD.Dshift/

More to come, keep in touch.
